Temasek Shophouse is the office of the philanthropic arm of Temasek, an investment company owned by the Government of Singapore.
The Shophouse is the engine room of Temasek’s social responsibility projects and is a hub of community action.
The challenge
The Temasek Shophouse site is a custom-built CMS that has been creatively and technically developed through a partnership between two JAM agency partners: Megapixel and Splash Interactive.
Essential to the reputation of the site was maintaining excellent uptime through the management of its Azure hosting.
JAM are experts in Azure and custom-built CMS solutions and have an excellent relationship with the two agencies who developed the Temasek Shophouse application. This meant we were in a perfect position to offer expert 24/7 managed hosting that would ensure the site was supported around-the-clock.
The solution
JAM designed and implemented an expert hosting solution during the onboarding process with Temasek and their two agencies that would safeguard their reputation through maximising uptime.
The architecture included two CD servers at the front with a load balancer, which provides the site with high availability. The site uses web application framework Laravel, which is a headless CMS.
Our team created detailed runbooks to support this custom solution, including all known scenarios that our incident management team could encounter, so that any issues could be picked up and dealt with immediately.
