The challenge

The PowerTrade site was hosted on GCP with a significant monthly spend. The local technical knowledge of GCP in Singapore is behind that of other platforms, and assembling a team to restructure their hosting setup was proving a challenge.

They wanted a new hosting solution that would result in both a cost reduction and a higher level of scalability. To achieve this, they approached AWS. The AWS Singapore start-up team then introduced PowerTrade to Just After Midnight due to deep migration experience and expertise, particularly within the FSI sector.

The solution

The PowerTrade GCP infrastructure was running on virtual machines, so our team expertly re-platformed and migrated the setup to AWS with minimal disruption to a mission-critical business. By containerising the platform and leveraging our deep expertise at Just After Midnight, we ensured a smooth, safe, and timely migration, ensuring that PowerTrade’s core objectives were achieved.

The entire process, from initial discussion to completion, took just 4 weeks, thanks to the agility and flexibility of our Singapore team.
