Epworth Medical Foundation is an incorporated charitable organisation that helps raise funds for Epworth Healthcare, Victoria’s largest not-for-profit private hospital group.
Epworth’s fundraising activities, including sporting events and projects, provides essential funding for Epworth Healthcare to improve facilities, purchase the latest advanced medical equipment and carry out innovative research all while providing high-level care to its patients.
The challenge
Like many organisations in the healthcare sector, Epworth needed a highly reliable, secure hosting solution for their Sitecore website. They were also keen to cut down on spending and find a solution with an affinity for their high degree of internal Microsoft technology, as well as one that would fit with their existing Sitecore solution.
The solution
Just After Midnight introduced Microsoft Azure cloud to complement the client’s preexisting IT capabilities. We designed and set up the new architecture on Azure cloud, and set up a content delivery network (CDN) to make sure key resources were delivered quickly.
We also implemented a highly efficient DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery model, allowing for quick and bug-free deployments with far less risk of downtime.
Results
JAM delivered the new infrastructure ahead of schedule, and Epworth has a platform that is more reliable and secure, without having compromised their pre-existing set-up.
